It's a bit presumptive of me to say that trip-hop birthed all the electronica subgenres that have popped up since. But if my listening habits, over the past couple decades, are any indication, then there is a definitely link between trip-hop and the more experimental and obscure electronic music styles of today. Historically, the connections aren't hard to find. TH itself is influenced by many other genres that came before it. And I intend to create a timeline/chronology that shows how TH's influence has been passed down and spread about, over the past couple decades.
